Day 8

Its the feast of Saint Luke today. Saint Luke, the Evangelist was a doctor and was a gentile(non-Jew). He was the disciple of Paul, and also turned into a historian by writing the Gospel of Luke with historic accuracy.

Verses That Struck Me

In today's readings the verses that struck me the most were:

First Reading : But the Lord stood by me and gave me strength to proclaim the message fully, that all the Gentiles might hear it. So I was rescued from the lion's mouth. - 2Tim 4:17

But the Lord stood by me and gave me strength!

Gospel : Go your way; behold, I send you out as lambs in the midst of wolves. - Luke 10:3

We too in today's world are lambs among wolves.
